Arguably Europe’s longest running online Poker Championship, the Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker IV Championship (LEOCOP), returns on the 26th October through 9 November 2008 with 16 Added Money tournaments running over 15 consecutive days, culminating in the $1000 + $100 LEOCOP main event (with $250,000 added) on Sunday 9th November.
Games during the 16 added money tournaments will include No Limit, Fixed and Pot Limit Texas Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, with a mixture of Freezeout and Re-buy structures, with money added to each tournament from $2500 to $250,000.
The festival in total exceeds $500,000 in added prize money.
"As you know, we put a lot of emphasis on the importance of community and the LEOCOP (Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker IV Championship) is like our annual family gathering. It's the one time you can guarantee that everyone will make an appearance."
"It's a chance to catch up with online friends and acquaintances, learn from the old school and as Grazza (Graeme Newman) demonstrated in 2006 when he won the main event, sometimes it's a rare opportunity to teach an old dog a trick or two and perhaps pick up the massive cheque at the end of it all!"
"Of course the kudos and the massive prize pools are also very good reasons that players Europe-wide play this fantastic event!"
Ladbrokes will run a leader board alongside the LEOCOP, with over $14,000 in prize money for the top ten players featured and an invitation to the top 80 in the table to play in the $120,000 LEOCOP IV Masters Events freeroll (22nd November) where the last remaining Poker Million VII Semi-Final Seat (worth $120,000 and guaranteed payday of at least $20,000) is up for grabs, for a chance to win the $1,000,000 first prize during the Live Final table on Friday 12th December 2008.
