This new tour is unique in nature because the only way for players to qualify for the event is through satellites online at Sky Poker. The lowest buy in starts at £2.65 and could end in a chance to win a large piece of the £25,000 at the end of the tour.
The tour kicks off with a £5,000 guaranteed tournament at the Dusk Till Dawn Card Room on the 13th of September 2008. The final tournament of the tour, with £25,000 guaranteed, won’t be played in until June of 2009. The final leg of the tournament will take the top ten finishers of the first five tournaments and will be televised live on Sky Channel 865. Participants in the live events will also have the chance to rub elbows with some of Sky Poker’s famous on screen personalities, such as Norman Pace, Michelle Orpe, Richard Orford and Tony “Tikay” Kendall.
“Now with this tour there will be a huge sense of excitement and anticipation as our players move from playing against each other live on Sky Channel 865 to meeting in person and competing across the felt with £25,000 at stake,” Crowe said.
